A short-lived college education took me back to New York City where I quickly got a job designing for Norcross Greeting Cards. Frustrated with the inner workings of office politics, I left Norcoss to become a showroom and runway shoe model. In those days I had great legs and could walk in 3" spikes.
One morning while waiting in the elevator of the 34th Street building, I locked eyes with another's, and that was it. Saul and I were engaged and married within 6 months and had 44 wonderful and happy years together, producing two terrific sons.
We raised our family in Closter and Old Tappan and, for 26 years, owned and operated a very successful children's clothing and juvenile furniture store.
Along the way, we were blessed with four very special grandchildren. Two of my granddaughters recently graduated from high school and have moved on to college.
My love passed away four years ago after a long illness. Since then, I have relocated to Florida and continue to work in the baby business. Aahh, now I enjoy the warm Florida weather, my loving family, wonderful friends and all that life has to offer.
