Peter Rothenberg's Story
After DMHS I attended Lehigh University in a dual degree program, graduating in 5 years with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Applied Science. I returned to NJ and worked for Bendix in Teterboro. I got an MBA and an MS in Electrical Engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I married Geraldine Sheldon from Teaneck NJ. We have two children, Sharon and Mark. When NJ put in the income tax we moved to California. We went there for the better air (my son's allergies cleared up), better roads, and lower cost college education. I worked for Litton Guidance and Control as Director of Support Equipment. After a time, I transferred to marketing at Litton for new products to the Army. I worked as a Marketing Director at a variety of California Aerospace companies until retiring 2 years ago from EDO Corporation. Geraldine was a 1st grade teacher in NJ and when we moved to California she became the Director of a large Nursery School. My son, Mark, works in San Jose doing a combination of electrical engineering and computer programming for a customer support equipment company. He is married to his computer. My daughter, Sharon, was an actress and has become a pet/family photographer. She is married, lives in LA and has given us a beautiful granddaughter. I am using my journalism and photography experience from DMHS to publish a quarterly homeowner's bulletin for the neighborhood while being President of our Homeowners Association for 12 years.
