Jimmy was my first "boyfriend", (after John Harkness in grammer school). We would walk to school with a group and he would run in front of the train sometimes, scaring us to bits. He was very shy and kind, He took me to the EJHS Prom and we parted ways during the summer. After graduation, Jim went into the army and was stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia. He would ride home each weekend with, guess who, John Marschall!!
One Friday a drunk driver made a u-turn in front of the Olds that John was driving. Jim was the only one who had to be hospitalized for a few days.
After they both were discharged in Sept of 1960, Jim was recalled for the Cuban crisis. John was not since he was married and a father.
My last touch with the family was when their home was torn down for the Englewood Hospital expansion. Not sure when that was as we had moved to Florida in 1967.

Jim, or "Jimmy" Reynolds and I spent much time together in our younger years. His family was a member of The West Side Presbyterian Church in Englewood where both Jim and I attended. His mom was our Den Mother in Cub Scouts and a very good one at that. Jim and I were part of the church youth group, where we spent many rewarding hours. On several occasions,he traveled with the youth group to my family's farm in Rocky Ridge, Maryland where we had 110 acres of rolling pasture, crop fields and 100 head of black angus beef for all to enjoy. Our interests went in different directions in high school and I lost touch with him after graduation. Sadly, it was through my participation in the Reunion Committee that I learned of his passing. To reconfirm what Fritzi and John had stated, Jim was, indeed, a shy but very kind and giving individual.

I was so sorry to read of the death of Jimmy Reynolds. I too knew Jimmy as did Fritzi, John, and Alan. My parents and his family were dear friends from our church and we had so much fun with church-related activities as a group. Yes, Jimmie was definitely shy! However, there were times when he would go to visit on a farm, and when he came back, he was full of stories how much he loved life on the farm! It was one topic which he could really talk about, and smile and glow all over! Because of the family friendships, I would often be at the Reynolds home for get-togethers as we compared experience at college. I spent many happy times with the Reynolds family,
