Nancy also went to Cleveland School with me. A parallel existence with all. My Mother was very strict and wouldn't let me have friends over or go many places. Nancy was the top student in the first year at Englewood Hosp School of Nursing. I was too involved in the Probie Show, but still made number 2.
One wonders why she is not here and I am. This age doesn't need to be done as yet.
Hope someone else has some insight into Nancy's later life, after Nursing School.

Thanks Fritzi for your memories of Nancy, because I lost track of many people when I went to school in Illinois. I never really came back to Englewood as my life took me to other states always heading WEST. Nancy and I went to Cleveland school together, and I recall several slumber parties and other activities when we would be in the same crowd. Reading about her death, and the deaths of others, made me sadly aware how many of those dear friends have passed on. Nancy was quiet but a lot of fun. I am sorry she was taken from us at such a young age.

Nancy and I became friends in 9th grade when my family moved to Englewood. We spent many a Saturday evening together at the movies. I lost touch when my family moved to Texas. I had tried looking for her every once in a while over the years and was deeply saddened to learn of her passing.

Nancy and I sat near each other in home room, and got to know each other better when we learned that we had an unusual bond: we were born on the same day. And so I often think of her around this time. In 68 years I've never met another December 1 baby, not to mention one born the same year as well. So Happy Birthday in Heaven, Nancy.
